A.C.C. GRANT PROGRAMS

The City of Corpus Christi recognizes and enthusiastically supports a growing and broadening interest in preserving and enhancing the community's quality of life. The City acknowledges the contribution of the Arts to the quality of life and is dedicated to the vigorous development of the Arts and the promotion of public participation in the City's cultural activities.

- The City of Corpus Christi Hotel-Motel Tax Arts Subgrant Program sponsored through the Arts & Cultural Commission (A.C.C.), awards monies to non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporations and educational organizations that provide arts and cultural programs and activities in the City of Corpus Christi, enhancing and promoting tourism and the convention/hotel industry. The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department serves as liaison for this commission.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Arts Subgrant Program are to:

- Once applications have been received, they are evaluated and reviewed for eligibility and completeness by a committee appointed by the Arts and Cultural Commission. Then scoring commences, with the A.C.C. members participating in the process. The final grant scores and amounts are forwarded to the A.C.C. and City Council for final approval.

APPLICATIONS

- The Art Subgrant Application Process begins the 3rd Monday in March each year. Subgrant Applications then become available at the Galván House in Heritage Park and please check back at the end of March to access the application online here. The application deadline is 5:00pm, the last business day of April, either hand delivered to the Galván House or by postmark.
To be eligible to apply for a subgrant, an organization must be a 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation or educational organization. If the organization received a subgrant during any previous grant year, a Completion Report must be on file, having been filed in a timely manner.
